WRIGHT FARMS-ANYTHINK LIBRARY

THORNTON, COLORADO

CLIENT: HUMPHRIES POLI ARCHITECTS

Wright Farms Library is the Flagship Library and Administration Facility for the Rangeview Library District.  The project is located at the intersection of Holly Drive and 120th Avenue in Thornton Colorado and includes a 45,000 square foot building, parking and significant site improvements all on an approximately 8.6 acre site.

The land was purchased from the Wright Farms Metropolitan District.  At the time of the purchase the property was in unincorporated Adams County requiring annexation and rezoning.

The Library and the site were designed to be a new library experience for this family focused and growing suburban area. The facility and the site place a premium on creating a warm, inviting and modern learning and community environment. To achieve this objective the site plan provided an open area north of the building, this area has been developed as an extension of the Districts mission, including outdoor study areas, a children’s garden, performance area and a Xeric Demonstration Garden.

The project is registered to achieve a LEED Silver Certification and incorporates numerous sustainable design elements including water conserving plant material.
