Altura Elementary School is a part of the Aurora Public School and serves a diverse population of Aurora’s northern neighborhoods. 

 

The school was constructed in 1964 and was in need of both interior and exterior renovation. TCK Design and Planning working as a consultant to Humprhries Poli Architects provided landscape and playground design services putting a fresh face on the exterior spaces while addressing security and traffic flow conflicts. 

 

Planting and site design reinforced the contemporary renovation of the architecture, incorporated wise water use practices and introduced safe and secure gathering areas for parents, students and the community.
